| Presentation: | My family have lived on a sailing boat for the past 7 years .We have sailed around the atlantic.At the moment we are looking to settle on the land and want to find out about other peoples projects and learn through helping out.We,Scot and Susan, have two children ,a boy(Sam) of 14 and a girl (Jay)of 17 who are both home educated.We also have a small male neutered portuguese dog who we would like to bring with us.I (Susan) am very interested in animal husbandry,goat milking ,cheese making and beekeeping.Jay did some voluntary work on a milking goat project in Grenada,the Caribbean and worked with a sheep cheese producer in scotland.We are very keen to learn about permaculture and how to work with low or no chemical methods of disease and pest control in fruit and vegetable production.Scot is the practical one in our group and has experience maintaning and sepairing things onboard our boat.He is keen to learn about building environmentally sound buildings.We are keen and very adaptable as we have lived in places with very little resources available,such as 200 miles up the river Gambia in west africa.Hope to hear from you | |
