Situated near the barrier lake of Bravura, which is a great place for fishing or swimming, our farmstead is surrounded of meadows, stables, and an small forest of cork tree in its back.
In front of the house is a greek, called Ribeira da Santa Maria, over which leads an iron bridge to our house.
Our garden, which is a field from about 800m², is situated on the other side of the greek.
We do have electricity and our water comes from a well.
We have currently 12 chicken an two rabbits, soon we want to have ducks and a pig again.
In the garden we´re trying to grow most the food we need, and also corn for the animals. We don´t use any chemicals in the garden and fertzilize only with dung or green manures.
As we started to occupy the place in april 2011, there are still lot´s of things to do.
We would like somebody to help us plant and take care for the garden and the animals, to help us clean some of the stables, repair the clay oven and what else there is to do on a little farm.
If you have some experience in one of those fields, that would be great.
