Welcome to O Monte, Tavira

Right now the harvests are over and done with. In the next 6 weeks I would like a hand with cleaning the land, pruning trees, building a low 25 mt.. wall around the pomard . A large bonfire foreseen for the end of november.
Throughout the year it sort of looks like this;
March through May help is needed for lime washing outside terraces & treating woodwork , help with building a stone wall around the horta (if you have some experience ! )
(first 2 weeks of) June i will be looking for someone to help me cook during an indigo course at the house
In July and August no help is needed.
Starting at the beginning of September we are always looking for helping hands with the almond- carob (alfarobeiras)- and olive harvest;
During November, January, Febr. & March the land & trees need to be cleaned & diff. small jobs around the house.

You will work between 5 and 6 hours a day, especially in harvest time. (never more !) with 2 days off of course per week. On the days off you can take a bus from the (nearby) village to Tavira and from there to Faro (or Seville;3hrs and Lisbon;3hrs.). It's a quiet country life.

You will get to see some of the surroundings,meeting friends etc. where possible.
Mostly vegetarian meals are served, no meat, sometimes some fish. If you like to cook, be my guest !
I do prefer 2 people at the same time who can share a room; You have your own bedroom with bathroom, separate from the main house. You are welcome to stay for ca. 10 days max 2 weeks.
