On the days off one can take a bus from the (nearby) village to Tavira and from there to Faro (or Seville;3hrs and Lisbon;3hrs.). It's a quiet country life. In February and March help is needed for mulching, pruning and cleaning trees & shrubs and cutting firewood.
In May help is needed for limewashing & treating woodwork .
Oct. and Nov. we are harvesting carobs, almonds & olives.
