Organic smallholding with emphasis on permaculture practices, growing vegetables and fruit, keeping goats and sheep, making cheese. Terraces with vines, olives and many fruit trees, surrounded by mixed woods. Situated in a quiet valley with mountain views in rolling countryside. Help particularly sought for spring planting and autumn harvest seasons and with forestry work all year round. Construction skills are also valued. We aim to provide volunteers with a varied range of work and prefer that they stay for three to six weeks.
Guido is English, plays guitar and piano, practises zen and teaches tai chi. Eight-year old Iris enjoys helping people in their work and distracting them from it; Ruby is four and likes taking things apart. Both girls enjoy spending whatever time they can with our guests. We provide comfortable accommodation in individual rooms, wholesome vegetarian food and a friendly family atmosphere.
