Bota.Nicas has chestnut trees, walnut trees, oaks (more than 50 years old), among other more recent fruit trees planted by us. Some of the birds chose these trees to make their nests. Staying at Bota-Nicas is to fall asleep with the owls and wake up with the birds chirping and the sound of water hitting the rocks. We do not have any residential scratches yet, so we only have tents. In the winter it is difficult to stay there. In ourselves we are not there. We intend to build a wooden house soon. It has edicicas for those who love nature in its pure state. In the case of choosing "Bota.Nicas" they will be able to develop activities like: To cultivate and to treat of the garden; create accesses (stairs and bridges over the stream); helping to build leisure spaces; dealing with fruit trees; make harvests; among other activities linked to land. The orientation in the works is in my charge and Paulo (my husband). The volunteer will perform the tasks with which to better identify (we do not impose tasks, but that are to the liking and the qualifications of the volunteer). The volunteer will do the tasks for 4 hours (to be agreed in the morning or afternoon), having the rest of the day free to know the region (if you wish). You also have 2 free days in each 8 day period. Meals are on our account, some more specific diet should be mentioned and everything is arranged so that the stay is pleasant to all. As the current conditions of permanence, are not the best and not to be alone in the tent, we can arrange accommodation in our residence that is 1 hour from the farm in a city by the sea. The city where we live Povoa de Varzim, has many attractions and is already a very developed city.
You can see photos of "Bota Nicas" and surrounding area, as well as the city where we live.
What do they need to bring? Your clothes, good will and sympathy.
Feel free to ask questions without compromise, and we will surely find the best solution for both parties together. Together we will build the future of "Bota. Nicas" welcome!
