We are a self supporting organic farm and our main activity is goat cheese production. Our farm exists since 1984, when we built our farm starting just with a few goats. Nowadays, the farm accounts more than 100 goats, 10 black pigs and 20 chickens.
We are located in a small valley near a water reservoir, and the entire farm is surrounded by forest and different types of agrarian and wild landscape. Our land is built in small terraces, where we grow all the vegetables we eat, fruits, corn for bread baking, olives for oil and grapes for juice, additionally we also grow all the animal feed we need for our livestock.
Almost all of our food comes from our farm, which includes vegetables, olive oil, pig, chicken and goat meat. During all year we need help from volunteers in a variety of activities, which includes planting, weeding, watering, crop harvesting, cutting food for the animals, making hay, olive harvesting, cleaning manure out of the stables, grape juice making, amongst others…
We are a hardworking farm and at some days work can be tiresome, however it is rewarding at the end of the day. Therefore we do look for helpers with high motivation and interest in our farm. And if you are interested, you can learn about organic agriculture, animal farming, natural life and goat cheese production, and if don’t mind to lay your hands on some work you are welcome and will not regret to stay in our farm.
