my experience at Vale De Lama

I have stayed at Walter's farm just outside Lagos and really enjoyed my stay there. Walter is a wonderful host and very generous and the use of the bikes was a really lovely touch to get around in.
I met two lovely lads on the farm and had lots of laughs with them and we all argreed this farm was wonderful. We certainly wold recommend it to anyone who is thinking of wwoofing.
Walter the owner is building a big villa which I just cant wait to see finsihed all the planting and the ponds that surround the villa. WE ha use of the swimming pool which on a hot day was really good. When the villa is finished there is a small pool you can use if their will be guests at the villa next year.

I loved working in the veg garden as the butterlies just flitter above the cabbages.
The vineyard is looking better with all the hard weeding and we ate pomegrantes in the break under the shaded tree whilel the brown cows jingled their bells in the adjourning farm.

As Walter is brilliant man and works with youth, he has archery bow and arrows on the farm and we had some target practise when the mosquitoes had gone in the lunch break.

So hopefully you wwoofers thinking of coming can help out here as there is so much to do and I am sure you will love the views and the experience as much as I have.

Thanks Walter and everyone else who made my experience so wonderful.
happy farming and wwoofing.
Off now to another qunita for final week.
