  • Manuela and Uwe are kind and down to earth people who will welcome you. Work on the farm is varied and not too hard, fresh fruits and vegetables are abundant, feeding animals and watering at early sunrise can be a spiritual experience, if you are able to ignore the mosquitos . Rather deserted beach is close by, to be reached by foot or bike you can lend from the family. In nearest town, Odiaxere, you can join the locals (statistically apparently mostly older men) in drinking some galões. A free quick course of German is included. Friday night party at their friend Rudi's place is legendary.

  • A very nice family with two lovely dogs give you a home. I had a great time at Quinta Vale da Lama. The farm is close to the ocean and work is diverse, it doesn´t get boring. Also we got around a lot to the beautiful countryside of the algarve. Thanks!

  • I spent the last 3 weeks at Quinta Vale da Lama. The hosts, Uwe and Manuela, are open-minded, laid-back and generous. The accomodation is great and the food delicious. Work is varied, even in January. And the Ocean and a beautiful sandy beach are only a little ride away. We also visited a number of other wwoofing farms in Monchique and on the Coast, which was very nice and useful. Can only recommend

  • In Quinta Vale da Lama lives an open, friendly family. They included me in their family life right from the beginning. We spent all day together, working, doing trips around the region of Algarve or going to other farms and learning about different ways of life. The work was good! Sometimes it was hard, but at the end of the day, i felt happy about what i achieved. The work was all about the garden. It was nice to start a Project and to be able to finish it and see how it developes. The house is 5 minutes away from the lagoon close to lagos. On the weekends you can go to the water and enjoy a beach day.
I loved the time in Lagos!
